Have you ever made a delicious meal and as you go to the refrigerator to find a dressing, condiment, dip or salsa, you can't find anything because everything you have is packed with sugar and fat? This green chili sauce is the answer you have been seeking. It is low in fat and low in carbohydrates. The recipe calls for greek yogurt and olive oil mayonnaise but you can substitute the mayonnaise for using all greek yogurt if you want to reduce your fat even more. Have fun with this sauce and don't be afraid to tweak it to your liking.
Ingredients
90 g Greek Yogurt
90 g Olive Oil Mayonnaise
8 g Garlic cloves
20 g Lime Juice
50 g Diced Green Chiles
4 g (2 tsp.) Hatch Chili Powder
17 g (1/2 bunch) Cilantro
3 g (1 tsp) Onion Powder
Kosher Salt to taste
Directions
Prep time 10 minutes
-Place all of the ingredients into a hand blender pitcher or blender. We like to use a hand blender since the recipe yields a smaller amount of sauce.
-Blend until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
-You can let it rest in the refrigerator to let the flavors blend or enjoy immediately.
